Diigo

http://www.diigo.com/user/schlib/

Diigo is the social bookmarking tool that just got a Schlib workout. The links from our tools page, kidlit page and wiki sidebar have been added to the links from e-mail messages written in the last couple of months. As time goes along, more of the archived emailed links will be added to Diigo. We'll start by adding Poetry Month and Earth Day links from amongst those archived. We'll also get some more good links up there for the library techs. Future blog entries can be created directly from Diigo which will save time.

So..now there's a Schlib wiki, a listserv with an e-message archive, a blog, a Netvibes portal, a Twitter account and a social bookmarking site for quick access to links.

Transcripts of Past Sessions [pdf]
http://tappedin.org/archive/transcripts/
If you miss the above session or any other, you can still learn from it. The transcripts will eventually be online at TappedIn.
Reading the transcripts of TappedIn is akin to reading your great-grandmother's old letters. There's always something of value, but you have to skim through a lot of chit-chat to get to it.
Practical suggestions are always shared and often blended with links to resources that you might never hear about otherwise.

Calendar of Tappedin Sessions

There are lots of other sessions upcoming that will be of interest to teachers at all levels and library staff members. Register if you'd like to participate in a session. It's a simple process.

BCTLA Bookmark Journal Online

It used to be that we'd look forward to receiving each print copy of the BCTLA Bookmark Journal in our school division library. It was one of the few journals that escaped the three year weeding rule that we applied to other periodicals. The stack of Bookmarks was protected in a secret place and often shared with our TLs.

Now you can download your own copy of the BCTLA Bookmark Journal at http://bctf.ca/bctla/pub/bookmark.html
